What might this worldbuilding entail? And why on discord?

Hello Jadedspool, glad to see another hero here.

Right so went with the cuter not nightmare to balance OOG version of dumb game ideas I've had.

Could see her fighting a Sonic like character and lamenting the rolling attack which is her only real defense besides jumping has too long a cool down.

Goblin Gizmos was big on gaining crafting materials to build modules, upgrades and garages if the arena allows. Might interact with the crafting system of an mmorpg.

Bloodreign sounds more Japanese style than the source game Goblin Gizmos came from. Shannon probably tried Bloodreign made a decent run to mid game before discomfort with the male-gaze visuals and new stuff led her to other games.

Good to see you both. Like that you are establishing history with your character and their history with other games as well. The Discord would basically be for that, to establish things about the videogames in this universe, and to make notes about your characters,(if they've heard of it, played it etc...) and make sure the franchises don't contradict each other,(like we can't have two different "best selling fighting game of 10 years ago").

Well that sounds interesting but I'm just not sure why we can't do that here on rpol instead of having to make an entire discord server for it? I like discord, I do, but I'm in enough discord servers already.

We probably could. I just wanted to make sure everyone could communicate with each other relatively quickly. But if nobody would like that I'm not opposed to doing it all on RPOL.

Heroine central Shannon probably played through end game content as a Dark Empathic build as "Olivia Onyx". She stuck to PUGs never really finding a guild which is why she never dominated the end game, but few groups mind a competent support character.

What about Y'all? Your character's just play their one game to the exclusion of all others? Did you roll solo or in a guild? Any of you vlog famous?

What other games are there besides Bloodreign?   Lady Electrica would have played it a bit, but she was more interested in RPG oriented games. :)

Lady Electrica was in a guild, super relaxed one mostly made up of friends and she avoided PUGs like crazy.

So far an underated MOBA Goblin Gizmos where you build a mech to scrap your opponents born out of and as yet unnamed more successful fantasy themed game and Heroine Central an older MMORPG in a comic book superhero setting.

So mostly RPG and RPG agacent games, all femme characters. No cute boys yet but the rest of the group seems like they could lift Jadedespool with a finger so at least potential there.

Goblin Gizmos, Lady Electrica probably hasn't played yet. :)

Saw the new advert, was wondering what you were after with "villains", which also made me wonder about alts.

Like would a human siding with Lord Rom appearing as Bowser from Mario kart 8 be a Villain? There's an argument in that case Jadedespool is a villainous since she's a "monster". Though the goblin was a playable protagonist in the RTS game and everyone's a Goblin in the MOBA.

If you mean opponents for us to face I have some ideas and would be open to running an Alt, as well as my main.

I meant other players acting as antagonists for your characters. Hackers working for their own self-interest and working under Emperor Zai, (at least to start). Though I am okay with you all having one alt, I do prefer one alt because I don't want many characters to be missing if one player has to take time off. Though I do like the idea of you having other characters in your game universe that can act as villains or foils for yours, I figured Emperor Zai is going to use other pcs or NPCs from your game's stories once he meets you all. In fact, he might use an enhanced doppleganger if you allow one in your franchise history. Like maybe one of you is an earlier version of the same character in a fighting game, like Dura-Noka is from "Hyperfight!" and Zai's minion Dura-Noka is from "Hyperfight! 3 Turbo Edition"

 "I have all your moves, plus six other specials!"

 That kind of thing can also be present in this role play.

Villain concepts.

CLIPPY: CLIPPY is an advanced AI singularly obsessively dedicated to producing paperclips. CLIPPY  wants to see the universe converted into an ever expanding pile of paperclips. Emperor Zai is competition, and CLIPPY desperately wants the Shockwave as a tool to make paperclips.

Reg: born Reginald Cooper, Reg is an incredibly skilled hacker who lives by fake air B&B type rentals and deliveries stealing identities from the rich and powerful and the barely robbing them. Reg mostly gets kicks demanding silly videos of people doing weird mildly embarrassing things while dressed as neko maids usually in revenge for some perceived slight against society. Those who refuse get pranked in increasingly elaborate ways vaguely proportional to the perceived slight.

GreenRedEad: An Urban legend about the. Notorious platform Mr. Thumbs Herbaceous Adventure. It was a weird indy game with 150 levels which was super weird because the game obviously was setup to be 225 levels from 1:1 to 15:15. Every 13th level in a world was a haunted house, which was jarring with the general upbeat goofy graphics. The 15the level would be a boss in some sort of crazy wilderness. Prerelease versions used to crash hard at 13:1 the solo developer supposedly was going a bit crazy and died without fixing the world-13 bug. The investors tried patching world 14 and 15 on but the game still crashed at the renumbered 13th world. Eventually they cut two weaker worlds and sold it as 12 world with 15 levels. Weirder was in order to make it stable they had to leave in the three missing worlds, leading to modders quickly making ways to access the two finished worlds and the legendary 13th world remained inaccessible. GreenRedEad showed up offering a mod with the 13th world completed but messages from GreenRedEad would vanish inexplicably if shared. Those who allegedly played it showed up having committed suicide their hard-drives wiped nothing recoverable and no evidence GreenRedEad even existed except those who resisted the temptation to see the forbidden world.

Hello everyone, Silver Maiden's player has chosen to resign from the game and has asked to be removed from it. Everything is fine with them as far as I know, just doesn't have the time. I will remove the player and character soon. Just wanted to let you know for a few hours so you aren't caught off guard if we lose some posts.

Thank you :) Most of it is irrelevant in a game like this of course other than RP. I came up with the idea when i was sitting at a pub in Birmingham waiting for a train. I had two hours to kill. there was a bunch of chavs sitting and chatting. And at first I thought they were rude and obnoxious but after a while I realised they actually were quite caring and supportive of each other. I thought it might be fun to play one

And then of course there is Misfits the TV show and the Chav in there is a super character. And that character could be summarised as 'poor impulse control' at first although she's quite caring too if you let her

I played Susan in another game like this (as per the IC post) for quite a long time. We got through two levels of the game and were well onto the third. But that was years ago so it's nice to ressurect her. Especially as I can do it without 'rebooting' her

Very much so! I would have been happy to play her as though 'hadn't had this happen' but it adds something to the story I think.

And I totally forgot to RP voice her. I went back and read some of that game and find myself getting back into her head space.  So I edited that post. I hope it's still understandable!

Hey everyone, should get an in-character post up tomorrow or Tuesday. I've just been having a few good but busy days in the past. I'm going to finish reading it all then coming back to the game. It's all good. This is a slow game, but slow games can be nice. And we can spend time getting to know each other a little more

Uh, yeah sorry. I spaced posting something this weekend and now I'm going on vacation- I might be able to get something out but either way you can continue on without me.

There are a few things going on, this game is going a little too slow for my liking. I like the premise but I understand everyone is busy too and I have been these past few weeks. Does anyone want to change it to a Discord game or want to suggest anything else to play? I've really wanted to play a game of Henshin. for a while now as a player and not just a DM.

For the record, the player is a dude, his avatar is female. He hasn't made mention of what kind of "equipment" he packs out in the "real world" yet, and I believe I mentioned in the first (or second) post that even his voice was no longer his own, but the "gentle Welsh burr" of the voice actress the makers of Demon's Run hired for the female version of the game's player character. As far as the other characters should know, visually and aurally, he's a she, even though he's still mentally referring to himself with male pronouns...
Edit: Well, obviously Prince Rom knows as the one who pulled my character into the Virtual world

Yes, but you can post now because combat hasn't officially started yet. You can throw the first punch and start combat. That rule only applies during the fight itself.
