So I got the following AS from my rolls:
STR: 11
DEX: 13
CON: 15
INT: 18
WIS: 16
CHA: 8
Applying +2 INT, +1 STR and +1 CHA we get:
STR: 12
DEX: 13
CON: 15
INT: 20
WIS: 16
CHA: 9
Question: Do we get to start with Armour Components, or just 3 installations of Extra Armour?
And how do I get access to editing the character details?

Toa gets you 4 installations of extra armour, so you would go with that. I think you should be able to edit your character sheet now, but if you can’t, let me know and I will try to fix it.

Alright, sheet is mostly done mechanics-wise. I'll think of the flavouring in the background. Is it OK to make my weapons as if they were made out of my crystals?
Can we use any of the RSG Kanohi? And can we install armour components into those?

You can use any kanohi that doesn’t have a Henderson Scale warning on it. As they aren’t considered part of your armour frame, I’ll say that you can’t add armour to the kanohi yet, but later on, if you meet a mask maker or invest in the relevant crafting skill, you could.

You can totally have your weapons flavoured as if they were made out of crystal.

Gotcha on the Kanohi, but for the point about Weapons: Crystal gets certain bonuses when wielding Crystal items, check my character sheet to see what I get and whether that's OK with you.

I think it’ll be ok with your abilities and your weapons, and I don’t think I will implement a maximum handle size - just that they would be limited to what the character could wield and the amount of slots the weapon has.

You can put images in messages or your character description using the code:
(The url has to be from an image hosting website though, so you will need to upload the picture to Imgur or something first)

To add new character portraits, you have to be the GM and in the updated version of the site. If you want me to do that, send me the image and I will add it in.

No, the quality is too high. Toa allows you to start with two weapons with a quality tier of one higher than the one related to your starting level. In this case, you would need to have the weapons be quality level 1. Aside from that, I think the rest is ok, but you will need to change the amount of components on the weapons.

But these are weapons that were made using E-Smith bonuses. As you can see in the sheet, it allows me to make them at 1 QT higher, so adding that to the bonus from them being Toa tools, that makes QT2.
As for Kanohi - I will try to make a MOC using a non-scoped Akaku, not a fan of scopes TBH.

Which archetypes do the other players want to get? I have E-Smith because Crystal is all about making items.
What about attack forms? I went with E-Armour, E-Strike and AoE because those seem the most straightforward for this low-level game.
And for the Kanohi I picked an Akaku to have an easier time finding stuff. Plus I had given this character an Akaku previously when thinking up concepts so it worked out quite nicely!
How about you guys?

Hello, I'm one of the new players in the game. I'm a long-time fan of Bionicle and I have followed it since the beginning. I applied with Pokawa, a Toa of Stone. Build-wise, I'm thinking some kind of beefy frontliner/support-type; I'm still learning the mechanics.

Edit: I did have a question. I saw you said we could use any Kanohi mask that didn't have the Henderson scale warning on it. I saw that the mask examples in this game thread stopped after the Inika. Did you want us to just use the masks from the ones you shared in the Kanohi thread?

You say you want someone beefy - do you intend to have a shield, or just rely on your body?

With my character, I'm thinking at first he relies on his own strength and his weapon. He doesn't necessarily believe in himself or his place in the universe, etc. I don't imagine him really using his elemental powers all too often, but that'll change over time.

Right now, I think I'll have him be a big body, but a shield does sound really appealing, though...

Otherwise, I went ahead and chose the Kanohi Elda.

In that case go for the Titan Archetype: you get to be one size category larger whenever you want to be, and it increases the size of your damage dice! Plus for getting 3 levels in defence you get DR to any damage type and resistance to one physical damage type.

The image has to be hosted on imgur or another site like that, then you copy the image address into the code.

The build is going okay, I got a big hung up on the custom gear creation, but in a good way. It's such a really cool part of the system, probably my favorite aspect so far, and as I go about I keep getting new ideas for tools and gear to use. I should have the sheet up very soon.

Sorry, I thought you had to unlock materials with EET/ET. If that's the case, then crystalline protodermis is ok, and knowledge crystal is good too if Omaukuh has spent enough time in Ko-Metru to interact with them.

Lovely.
But also I realised that since I have lightstones in my backpack, I could just as well consider those studied, meaning I could make my weapons out of lightstones. That would make it so that anyone within 20 ft of me would have to use Shades (2 installations in the Kanohi) or a Flashlight (0 slots to make it standard light)
Would this be acceptable?

I’ve read the light levels rules and reread the lightstone rules. You won’t need to worry about installing shades - lightstones give off bright light, which just makes stealth rolls at DADV1 and perception checks based on sight roll with +5. In other words, go ahead on the lightstone weapons. My main worry was that the other party members would have been blinded by the weapons, but since that isn’t an issue, you are good to go.

But Ru-Toa have a talent that lets them raise the light level by 2, check it out. I want to make use of it to do 3d4 Heat Damage with my crystal weapons.
So I think we do need shades.

The playstyle is fine, you can keep it. I'm a bit hesitant to give out extra modifications to things at the start, just to avoid potential issues with combat balancing, but the shades seem to me to be fine in that regard. If it works best for the group, you all can have a set of shades to start with.

Well, it's not gonna be a pair, it'll be a Kanohi modification:
Shades (1 Slot) - As a 1AP Action, you perceive the world as 1 Light Level lower than it actually is, until you turn this Component off. Can be installed multiple times.

If we install it 2 times into our Kanohi we could protect ourselves from my blinding light

It is indeed. So far everything to do with character creation seems clear, although I'm not 100% sure on exactly how the features from elemental warrior (the archetype I'm leaning towards the most) and passion unto flames from the fire element would work together since if I'm understanding things right, both let me essentially "upcast" an elemental attack. So basically just curious if they stack or not.

Thanks, also now that I look into equipment a bit more I'm a little confused by nothing seeming to have any cost to it. I'm also wondering if we can attach whatever components we want to our weapon/armor as long as we don't exceed the equipment's slots or if we have to wait until the game starts to get items with components.

At character creation, your equipment is determined by your Species and your starting Supertype, so you don't need to worry about its cost (also, there isn't a system for that yet). You choose components for your equipment at character creation, up to the limit for each item.

Well, yes. The economy is not established and the GM has to come up with it if they want it to have an effect. I just have a list of components and prices for my campaigns, but I still let people come up with their first weapon however they want.
