A place to explain RPOL for screen-reader users?
In reply to Hunter (msg # 4):
Ah... I don't want to come off as rude, but if you come across something, for anywhere, which addresses screen-reader users, and is up to date, Facebooks is so far out of date its not even funny, odds are good some screen-reader user came along and informed them all about it. Oh, sure there are guidelines out there for making the internet screen-reader friendly, but not a whole lot of people follow those rules.
As for this place, its not that hard to figure out a chunk of it, but it does take time, and it can be a little anxiety eliciting, but after a bit, you become a pro. The administrator did a really good job, from where I'm sitting, making the place pretty easy, for the most part to move through from a screen-reader standpoint.
Also, and I do appreciate all the things the moderators do, really, they are volunteers, and I'm not sure, no offense mods, how aware they are of the assisted-technology scene. I've met a fair number of programmers, who didn't have a clue. It doesn't bother me you understand.
