Hello!

Hi, and welcome!

Is there anything in particular you'd like to play?  I suppose I'm just being nosy because there's lots to see and do here, and you can play or run in games running the entire gamut of genres at RPoL.

Introducing yourself to us here on Beginners was an excellent start.

Branch out from there to the FAQs and Help System - there's lots of good info in there.  If there are questions you have about how something is done, by all means ask.  Friendly folk hereabouts will be glad to help you out.

While you're learning the Way of RPoL, hang out in Community Chat.  This is an open forum for folks to post about general topics of public interest.  Once you get a feel for how things flow, dive in.

Games can be found at least three ways:  Wanted - Players is a forum where game masters advertise existing games that are seeking players. The ad will have a link at the top taking you to the game itself, where you should be able to field a request to join (RTJ) from a link at the top of the game.

If you don't see a game in Wanted - Players you want to play, you might look in Wanted - GMs.  This is the place for players to post what sort of game they want to play and hopefully find a game master willing to run it for them.

Game Proposals, Input, and Advice is a forum where GMs can solicit advice or feedback about their games.  It also permits prospective game masters to float proposals of games they wish to create.  This allows them to gauge interest in a game concept before doing the development work to actually create it.

All of these places have Notices stickied to the top of their listings that are worth your time.

You can also use the Game Search Engine from the RPoL Main Menu.  It's linked at the bottom  next to a bold line that displays how many games are currently running.

If you ever do decide to run a game or three, RPoL has one of the best toolkits for GMs anywhere.  Don't worry, lots of help is available on the toolkit, and lots of GMs will also be willing to answer questions you might have when getting started.

Here's hoping you find the games you want to play.
