I have run PbP D&D in the past.  It has been over 15 years now.  I was able to assume the identity of multiple NPCs.  As a DM can I have multiple personas with which to post to a game thread?

Sorry if there is an obvious answer.  I cant seem to figure out how to posts as anything other than the GM.

You can do it two ways.

1. As GM, you can write in a temporary NPC name using the box that shows up in the upper right hand corner of the post window (it says 'Or as' and has a box for 'one-off identity').

2. Go into your GM menu and under the Edit Characters menu, choose 'Add (existing)' and create a new NPC with yourself set as the user. Be sure you set their tag to 'NPC'. Then, you can select them from your drop-down menu in the post a reply window (upper lefthand, where it says 'Post as').

You  can also post as the GM but then use the < quote a_name_in_here > some text < /quote > mechanism
