What happens when this is questioned? When one have to look at all that is believed to be true, only to see it shatter, vanish and obfuscate before ones eyes.
When nothing is true anymore, where do you turn, what do you do, what do you believe in.
When you wander in the steps of a lost soul, what will you uncover and how will it affect you?

This is a WFRP 2ed game taking place initially around Altdorf and the surrounding area. The year is 2524, so we are past the Storm of Chaos. The game is not 100% canon/RAW but close.
With an attention to portraying a griddy, dark and sometimes rough look at the life in the empire, this game relies heavily upon players who wish to involve themselves in their own fate, and who wish to brave both high and defiantly low - fair and unjust, to uncover what lies beneath the often polished surface of matters.

A spiritual continuation of my previous game for those who were a part of it, but with a new storyline all together.

Advanced start: New players begin with Standard character(RAW) with an addition of 1800 xp worth of advances(including any trappings from such).

Quality over quantity: I prefer strong personalities over strong characters, power wise. Combat is never the only option and some of the greatest heroes came from meager upbringings. Fate is part birthright, part influenced by choices.

What do we need!:
While I prefer a solid idea and concept/player over anything - someone willing to build, emerge and grow, someone with a magical college background would be a nice welcome. It is not a meal ticket, as in you are in without effort, but mainly a wish from me(got everything else now so mainly a solid concept for this!).
We seek 1 players more, quality and concept most important- and the right player of course! Kind, openhearted, and with roleplaying in mind first and foremost. Combat can and will occur, as the world is a dark and dangerous place.

We have lost a player sadly, whom played a scout.
I can offer this role to someone who wishes to jump right in, but there is also an opening for any other kind of character, regardless of gender and race.
The wonders of WFRP means that you can go many paths, and never be quite like others!

Again, I look for quality over quantity, and as I seek a person for the game, I will look for a fully fledged RTJ(see the relevant threads for your own sake!), to consider you in.
Please include if you wish to create a new character, or take over the scout.
Be advice that you will, if accepted, be able to start at 1500 xp, but also that the RAW rules for character advancement apply - that means full advancement before advancing(changing is a different thing - and the rules thread is clearly defined in regards to this).

I will close this opening once the right player has been found. They mood is great and grim, and the players of high quality. I am looking for someone to supplement this.

His eyes teared and his hands shook. Nighttime. They had barely made progress and was still vastly ill-prepared.
More would come, and more of them would be lost for sight. Rumors had it, that one of those who came, was the miller's son. He was taken just the other day.
The otherwise pious and strong commander, wiped his brow. In a matter of a week, he felt a decade older. The quiet town of Osburg had never faced anything like this.
Farmers, millers, simple men, living of the land and making their way through life. A few rotating shifts, an Piotr, the prodigal son, returned from war, to retire and run the city watch.

This was not something he was prepared for. They needed aid. And soon.
The attacks were growing in strength and numbers, and soon nothing but ash and cinder would remain if they didn't rise above.

What had happened? Why not? Only those in Osburg could likely guess on this.


A cry for aid has been sent out.
The town of Osburg is being overrun at night, and the meager town militia, headed by the commander Piotr Julaar calls for any man or woman, regardless of background, to aid them.
They have wounded inhabitants, they need guards, they need scouts, they need craftsmen to strengthen the walls and the buildings and the lists goes on. They are seeing assaults daily.
A hefty sum of Karls along with the decree of the local lords serve to entice those in need.

A new year and a new start.
After heavy grooming of inactive players, the game is looking for 2-3 new fresh faces, in a game with, as stated, advanced start.
The game is still RAW in terms of advancement(read within), but you get to start with 1800 additional XP on top of your generated starting character.
Two of the players come with their own backstory, but this segment could well be seen as a new chapter and a clean slate for those joining, so worry not.

Also, keep in mind when applying that this is intended to be a team oriented game, where there is plenty and ample room to grow individually and seek your own goals and aspirations.
We expect to being slowly once the places are filled, but at the earliest, this will be the first proper week next year, starting from the 4th of January and forward. So no rush!

The empire is reeling and it shows no intention to stop.
The town of Frederheim is no more than a crate, torn apart and deserted under the guise of chaotic and ruinous effect.
The Ar-Ulric has taken full martial power and disposed of the former rule of Middenheim, whom rumored had succumbed to a taint that made him loose his mind, and his iron fist rule up to that point, bordering on dictator ship and use of secret forces of magisters and swords to keep eyes and ears on the population has been transferred to the heavy rule of Ulric's White wolfs which lead with terrible force and anger - which as risen tensions between Ulric and Sigmar and caused some concerns into the trade between Middenheim and the rest of the empire.
The great Hospice is a charred ruin and along with the burned chapel of the Shallyan Sisterhood in Altdorf, the faith has taken a heavy blow.
With the the death of a high ranking member of the Cleansing Flame of Sigmar, the church is tightlipped and under scrutiny, and witch hunter presence is at an all time high.

The adventure begins one cold, windy morning near the River Reik going through Altdorf.

I have been running WFRP 2 edition on RPOL since August 2008, and try to adapt the game to offer players room to grow individually also.

One note: The old trope - Have sword/axe/weapon, will travel, will be needed here. I will offer ample reason but expect to see the empire..step by step.

I've played WHFR since it first came out, but I get later editions confused.  Is this the one published in the 2000's and is basically a revised reprint of the original game?

We currently have an opening for a single character, for anyone interested. Same rules as below apply, and same storyline progressed a bit more.

The character to be replaced is a thief/rogue based character by any career is available at this stage.

We have currently an open space for one to two good players, whom are interested in an advanced start game, in a dark grim setting, pertaking around the wake of rumored child with mythical powers, and how that has effects on all near to the child.
The game is filled with intrique, danger and tough calls.

To answer up ahead, we are running with 2800 xp, on top of starting state - further, I would like advise any questions are kept in PM's.
