Interest check for an adult pulp action game
I'm thinking of running an adult dieselpunk/pulp action game using this setting. I choose to make it adult to allow greater flexibility, not from any expectation. Wondering if there's any interest?
Pax Imperalis, a world dominated the Imperial Commonwealth, the successor to the British Empire. The most powerful state the world has ever seen. Of course the Imperial Commonwealth is not really an Empire anymore. It certainly has colonies, but they're slowly being integrated into the Commonwealth proper. It's a confederation now, the ten Dominions and five Home Nations all autonomous and equals, united by common interests and a common ideal.
But the Commonwealth is not alone, there are other powers. The Pacific Alliance of Japan and the USA. The Franco-Russian Entente. The Warsaw Pact of Poland and Italy. Of course there are minor members to all the alliances, but they're the core. Then there's China divided in two, Latin America where the cold war between the Commonwealth and Pacific Alliance is fought, the bitter and supposedly broken states of the former Central Powers.
This is a pulp action game with mystic elements set in the late 30s. The characters goal is to maintain the natural balance. There are many things which threaten to upset the natural balance of the world. Otherworld creatures such as spectres, vampires, poltergeists and even plain old goblins. There are restless and tormented spirits which must be laid to rest. There are rogue and insane Mages who act from selfishness or malice. There are many things which need to be dealt with.
There are also mundane matters. Fascists, Communists and Anarchists fighting shadow wars in Europe, spy rings in Canada and the US, the war in China, coups and counter coups in Latin America, freedom fighters in Turkey. This is a turbulent world barely at peace, rife with fertile ground for disturbances in the natural balance without any arcane influence whatsoever.
