Golden Age Champions

I'll be running a Golden Age Champions game in order to teach a friend how to roleplay.  I was wondering if there would be interest in my expanding the roster to include a couple more people (for a total of 4 or 5).  The posting rate would be every other day or so.

I would be very interested in a Champions game. I have Golden Age Champion though I haven't gotten around to reading it yet and I am versed in 5E and 6E.
I am new to rpol though so I'll have a bit of a learning curve on that end.

I'm tentatively interested.  I always have trouble separating my character themes and comic "ages", though ;)

Great! I'd be interested in a teaching game. What edition are you running?

For me it is a matter of edition over anything. I would for dang sure be down to play.

6th edition is the edition I'll be running.  It's still a few days out as I have to meet with him to make sure he understands the bare basics of his character build, a indestructible brick for the record, nice and safe to learn with.

Wonderful. That should have him enjoy the fine art of busting things up with your beefy fists. =)

If you are using 6th, shall I assume we are looking at the typical 400 points and 75 in complications? 60 AP Cap? 6 to 10 CV? Something else?

Far more versed in 3rd personally, but I think 6th is laying around here somewhere.

300 CP with 60 matching complications, among which you must take Hunted: Nazi Agents (More powerful, Infrequently).

The AP cap is 40 with a 20 max pd and ed (must be connected strongly to the concept (the brick has the full 20 pd while the speedster is in the teens for pd and ed)).  CV levels are 5-10 (again must be strongly connected to concept).

A ball park for stats is a loose maximum of 30 with the possibility of one or maybe two above that (the brick has a 40 str).

Ah, I see. Ok, that makes sense for Golden Age heroes.

I am ON it.

Thanks. =)

I've read 4th, 5th, and 6th editions, but only ever got to play once.  I'd be happy to have a chance to actually play.

I've always loved playing Champions, though I've never been very good at optimizing. Still, I have software for building characters, so I'll be happy to help double-check everyone's math and whip out text-based sheets.

Put me in as a player, or a helper, I'm good either way.

I play mostly 4e, having played HERO since the first year it came out. But I currently participate in 2 6e games, so i'M not a complete stranger to it. I would be interested in such a game.

I've venture a guess that you have plenty of interest for adding two more players.

Yup, which is very good news.  I'm hoping to meet up with him this week to discuss his character.  I may take a few more than two, given the interest amount.

The brick may have to join us mid introductory adventure, but the game is now open to players.
