IC - High Fantasy

Wanted to see if there was an interest in a high fantasy game and get a few ideas to round things out.

----------------------------------

What I am looking to run is a high fantasy game set in a kind of homebrew setting though I might incorporate Legends from other sources. Good bit of exploration with a number of far reaching objectives and choices of what to do. Hooks will be there for the players to take as they wish.

----------------------------------

Some thoughts on my end for types of adventure/settings and other mechanics?

*I'm not too particular here but I have a hankering to do something in one of the following settings...Underground, High Seas, Space or Planar.

*Mechanics is a bit harder because I have some preferences and ones I'd really like to try but know are not favored...D&D 3.5, D&D 4 and Pathfinder...would be my choices.

*I am thinking of starting at a level of at least 6th but might go as high as 8th.

----------------------------------

If I can get at least 4 interests then I will look at fully opening up something so that further discussion can be done.

If you do it D&D 3.5 count me in. If you want some high seas campaign, why not trying one where we can hunt evil pirates for once?

I'd be interested in any of the above that isn't using D&D 4E. :)

Do you have different game styles in mind for the different settings? I've never tried high fantasy in space, that sounds like it could be interesting depending on what you have in mind. I'm also a fan of giant dungeons and potentially survival elements if that's what you were thinking about for the underground game.

I'd be interested in any that aren't 4E as well.

I'd be great to do a High Seas game! I've been hankering for that since I watched Black Sails for the first time ;)

5e does have the new Ghosts of Saltmarsh adaption coming out next month if you wanted to try Sea based adventuring on that ruleset.

PF is probably preferrable over 3.5 for me I think, but either could work.

If not High Seas, then my next vote would be for Planar adventures.

So it appears that we have an interest in the following as it has been mentioned though maybe not all that is wanted.

*Nautical Campaign
*Pathfinder

I think that Pathfinder gives the better creativity as well as unique races/classes to play around with. And I have access to a lot more material online than I have the books for 3.5 as I haven't gotten them all....sadly.

And now...we are still missing one more of course but with an interest, feel free to send me a adding so more can be hashed out. I will still be looking for at least one more as well.
