Naruto: Heirs of Indra

I have been brain storming a game of Naruto. I recently caught up with the Boruto series while I was in recovery for an injury. Now that I am better I want to see if there is any interest. I will use a system, probably Naruto d20, but not decided as of yet. Give your opinion on your suggestions please.

Heirs of Indra
The founder of Ninjutsu has passed. The Ototsuki clan's time has passed and Indra's mantle is to be passed down to his heirs. You are Indra's youngest heirs, sons and daughters who have inherited some of Indra and the Sage of the Six Path's kekkai genkai. Succession is not decided and Indra's children and followers have split.
This is but one problem, Asura's descendents have formed into clans, and clashes with them are not unheard of, the way of ninshu replaced with Ninjutsu. Of more concern are the bijuu, tailed beasts of demonic chakra. They roam the land, with many of the new shinobi looking to harness their great power.
The game will start out with the PCs allied together to survive against their rivals and enemy shinobi. Your goal is to get temporal and personal power, and pursue your own personal goals.
The allowed kekkai genkai are Sharingan, Byakugan, and Shikotsumyaku.

Any thoughts?

Interesting.  I'm not caught up with Boruto since I really couldn't maintain my interest in it, though.  Would having done so be a pre-requisite of this game?  Seems like we're also playing in a past timeline, correct?  So, we're not as focused on teamwork and more on individual power?

No Boruto isn't a prerequisite for the game
That's just what sparked my interest back in Naruto.  The idea came from watching AMVs for the Indra vs Asura fight, lol.

But it could be about amassing individual power. My thought is Indra's heirs would be prideful and not prone to work together. The players start out as the youngest and weakest, banded together for protection.

Just as Indra taught humans ninjutau, so could the players, taking on disciples. Perhaps the players are the first to ally themselves with the daimyo? Perhaps you seek relics or tailed beasts? Possibilities are endless.

That sounds quite interesting.  Would this be more open world-esque then?  Characters roaming and pushing their own interests and adventures?

Also, since we're ninja of old, would you be open to custom techniques we design?  Or how would we be more unique than the current time period's ninja?

By the way, I am most definitely interested.

I am setting the game up to accommodate open world or plot based, depending on the players. That will be discussed with the group of players.

Yes I am open to custom techniques, and the players being the progenitor of shinobi techniques and clans. For custom jutsu, we just gotta keep it balanced, but that's the requisite.

No worries then!  I just wanted to see how open you were to creativity.  I have a character concept already loaded up and ready to go.  Let me know if you get the game off the ground!

I would be interested in playing.
I would assume you would be ok with customized feats as well.
Would this game be a PvP style or more of a world builder with the players as the main players creating clans and taking missions?
This is not a deal breaker with me just thought sense I had the question I better ask.

More world builder. I am not opposed to PvP but I would like to have every player be okay with it.
