Re: OOC IV

FYI, you already have two or three people on watch at any given time.

First Shift: Lucien & Rissa & Lorrain
Second Shift: Lucien & Lorrain
Third Shift: Lathan & Snagger & Sylviel
Fourth Shift: Lathan & Jinx & Alisandra

Alisandra almost certainly went before everyone else --- you guys all might have advantage if the faerie fire worked.

I'm fine for a short if that's what the majority want. I know Rissa is anxious for a cat nap. :P

Re: OOC IV

Fine with me, although I didn't go through any abilities that a short rest would help. I'm only down a single 1-level spell slot.

As usual, if you use a HD to heal hit points, Alisandra's Song of Rest adds +1d6 to the total (not each HD); she's always happy to play that during short rests. :-)

Also, Sylviel, sorry I assumed no one was hurt -- the DM didn't echo your damage and I thought it had just grabbed you preparatory to eating you.

Re: OOC IV

No worries, it's kind of hilarious because I took damage from it's slam attack and then friendly fire punching through its carcass.

Also I'm in support of a short rest.

Heh. At least it wasn't fatal.

A short rest is fine with me.

Sylviel, if 5 didn't completely heal you, don't forget about the Song of Rest, for +1d6.

I flat out forgot about that, I'm not going to lie. Still shy of full HP but I wasn't worried either way.

I'll try to get a post up some time tonight. I've been dealing with an injured pet these last few days that requires me to disrupt my sleep to tend to them.

Re: OOC IV

Poor baby (the pet)! Hope they heal up well!

We just had to put one of our dogs through surgery to remove the twine she ate half a ball of. She just got out of the restricted-activity pen and (most importantly) the Collar of Shame, and she's her old usual joyous self. The twine didn't do any significant damage to her small intestines, thankfully, as we got her surgery going early enough nothing had tightened up and started using the twine as a saw...

Re: OOC IV

Hello, everyone. The DM kindly gave me permission to post the following invitation, to be clear I'm not trying to poach players from them.

I would like invite those interested to join my just-getting-started Pathfinder 1st Edition game, using the Serpent's Skull campaign (what Paizo calls "Adventure Path"). My username is Gryphon173 so any of you who might be interested please rmail me.

I have two players already (arcanist and either bloodrager or magus), and am looking for about 3-4 more players.

My expectation for posting frequency is not high, but I do plan to keep the game moving along (hopefully at a pace similar to this game). Although I'm using published Paizo material for the campaign, I will be tweaking it in several places as we go to make it more interesting. Anyway, if you're interested, please contact me!

The game introduction is copied here:

Spoiler text: (Highlight or hover over the text to view)
Sailing southward, your characters have come aboard the Jenevieve in a variety of port cities and for a variety of reasons, but you all have a common destination: Sargava, once a colony of Cheliax but now an independent nation under the protection of the Free Captains of the Shackles. Why have you come to the edge of the trackless jungles of the Mwangi Expanse? Are you a scholar seeking the locations of ancient ruins? Are you an herbalist seeking new plants to develop into new medicines? Are you on the run from someone in the north, and Sargava seems far enough away they might just forget you?

The ship has made port in Varisia, Cheliax, the Shackles, and some ports of call in the Mwangi Expanse, and now she's departing Senghor to continue on the long journey -- more than three months' duration, for those who boarded in Magnimar -- home.

What mysteries will you discover in the jungles, ruins, and mysterious waters of the Mwangi Expanse and its surrounding lands? Come aboard the Jenevieve and you'll have a chance to find out!

This game is the beginning of the Serpent's Skull Adventure Path, using a modified set of the 1st Edition Pathfinder rules. Prospective players should:
  • Be at least passingly familiar with Pathfinder (ideally) or Dungeons & Dragons 3.5; if you aren't that familiar with the rules or character building, I'll help you.
  • Note that the party is starting at 1st level and there's specifically-noted sourcebooks; you can ask about something from other books (e.g., Inner Sea Guide or Ultimate Wilderness) and I may allow it, but don't expect me to!
  • Download and read through the free PDF from Paizo.com or Drive-Thru RPG, the Serpent's Skull Player's Guide
  • Be fairly flexible on character design -- I don't want a party with nothing but arcane casters!
  • Important: Read the Rules of My Game and agree to abide by RPoL's guidelines and my rules

Re: OOC IV

To clarify: The tunnel is illuminated by the mold, but the tunnel bends, so even though the creature is only 150 feet away, you cannot see it from where you currently stand, which is at the edge of the razor rock section.

For the group: Do we want to try to push forward around the bend before I send my familiar to try and lure it out? Or should I try to lure it around the bend to us?
