Making a topic Read only

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if and how can I make a topic ready only, so that I (the DM) can post there but players can only read?

Many thanks in advance

When you make a thread as GM, click the Notice check box and it locks the thread.

Re: Making a topic Read only

You can also click on "edit thread" in the top right. After you've made a thread, go back into the new thread and click through that link to get a submenu that offers check boxes like "notice" and "close thread." If you check "close thread," the thread will be locked to everyone but GMs, but still visible to the thread's group. If you check both "notice" and "close thread," it will be locked and also pinned to the top of the thread list.

Or you can also put it into the 'Public' group.  Everyone (even non players) can read, but only the GMs can post.

That's really awesome, I never knew you could do that that it worked that way.

I'm pretty sure players can respond to Notices unless they are marked "Closed."

Re: Making a topic Read only

They can, but notices are often automatically closed when you create them.

Yep, that's the way notices are suppose to work.

Create a notice and it is automatically closed.  Create a normal thread, then edit it to make it into a notice, and you will need to close it manually.
