Expanded Armory

Aegis-Pattern Light Slabshield:
Fabricated from the damaged or rejected panels of an Aegis Defence Line, this half-sized slab-shield offers more mobility than the bullgryn-associated counterpart but less coverage.  It's portability lets it pull double duty as a deployable cover system, but still requires significant force to relocate once planted.

For each other Slabshield (lodged OR wielded) within 1m, the Slabshield grants an additional +1 AP (to a max of +2 additional AP).  A Slabshield can also be braced, granting +2 AP against attacks within a chosen 45 degree cone until moved.  A lodged Slabshield provides cover equal to its AP, plus an additional 2 if placed intentionally.  The wielder can intentionally lodge the Slabshield into a nearby surface as a Half Action.    All together a properly lodged, braced Slabshield with two adjacent Slabshields could thus grant a total of 8 AP.

Good and Best quality versions include a weapon-lock, allowing a Basic ranged weapon wielded in conjunction to be fired one-handed without penalty.

Grants 2 AP to this Arm and the Body**-20 to hit, rather than -10.  Immune to Power Fields.
LEADEN:
If its wielder fails a Weapon Skill Test made with this weapon by a number of Degrees of Failure greater than his Weapon Skill Bonus,
it becomes lodged in the ground or another surface. It requires a Half Action and a Challenging (+0) Strength Test to dislodge it.

Gallow's Walk Revolver:
The bastard lovechild between a revolver and a hand cannon, this blocky rifled sidearm of old Terran make provides unparalleled functionality in the hands of a skilled gunslinger.  However, the tight tolerances of the barrel cannot always accommodate the sleight variances of mass-produced stub ammunition, resulting in blowouts or chain-fire that can take out fingers unexpectedly, assuming it doesn't just fly out of your hand.  Fortunately, the robust construction means that the Gallow's Walk will be ready to keep firing as soon as it cools.

Wide-Brimmed Hat:
A long standing superstition among denizens of Obscurus state that the better your hat, the better your luck.  Even the Warden himself prides himself on his headpiece of fine leather with Catachan Black Viper accents.

Wide-Brimmed Hat-Scarce
Obscurus-regiment characters with this can roll 1d10 when they would be killed outright by an attack.  On a 8+ they narrowly avoid the attack but drop their hat in the process, scattering 1d10m away.  On a 6-7 the hat is damaged, and scatters 1d5m away.  On a 5 the hat irretrievably lost or outright destroyed.  On anything less, the character is killed as usual.

Tranq, Amasec, and other Alcohols:
Amasec is a popular alcoholic drink that is distilled from wine. It can range from lesser quality brews that are barely fit for firebombs to well-aged and flavourful brands that have
the tendency to get confiscated by higher ranked officers due to the fact that they are suitable for only the finest of the Emperor’s servants.  Drinking tranq numbs the body and mind, which provides a very different feeling than being drunk on amasec, rotgut, or other spirits. Though similar in the end result, the effects of tranq are unpleasant, depressive, and require an acquired taste.

Alcohol grants the user +10 to any Toughness tests for up to an hour, and may also be used in first aid to deaden pain or cleanse a wound.  Users must make a Toughness test after imbibing any kind of alcohol; +0 for poor quality swill like tranq, +10 for common brews and ales, +20 for tasteful wines and liquers, or +30 for refined distillates.  Failure means they suffer a -10 penalty to Agility, Perception, Intelligence and Willpower based tests for one hour per degree of failure.

Recaf and other stimulants:
Recaf is a popular hot beverage that is made from crushed and brewed leaves. The composition can vary from planet to planet, but most blends incorporate some form of stimulant such as caffeine or detoxified pharamoxine compounds. The perfect companion for a sentry’s long watch at night.

Users receive a cumulative reduction of 5 to any penalty to rolls from being Fatigued for an hour.  Higher quality beverages grant a bonus to rolls against Excessive Use and Addiction; +10 for Common, +20 for Good, +30 for Best.

Lho sticks:
Lho-sticks are common with Imperial Guard troopers and many menial workers as a way to take the edge off when stressed.

Users gain the benefit of the Jaded talent for 1d5 hours.  Lho sticks can also be used as a substitute for other substances the user might be Addicted to in a pinch.
