Finished adding my ship to my character sheet - the Ilendi is old but modernized and ready to take on whatever the Final Frontier throws at it!

All are invited to have a drink and indulge in the spacious and large banquet hall - my entourage will be more than happy to entertain you!

I'm still working on the questions it asks about your ship. What makes it stand out from others in it's class and all that. It's slow going at the moment, but I'm getting through it.

I think I got my stuff settled- we'll see.

Hey! New player! Once they're settled we'll kick this off for real, as this is the number of players I want for this game.

In the meantime, a question for everyone: What is your character's favorite hobby?

N'ShopeQ's a foodie. He's an excellent cook, and one of his favorite things about travelling through space is the opportunity to try new foods he's never encountered. Plus, as a science-leaning vessel, he has access to portable equipment that allows him to quickly scan for any ingredients that might be fatal to Klingons. I would say he probably has a scanner embedded in his gauntlet so he can do a surreptitious scan. Also helpful when a rival house is trying to kill you dishonorably.

For Vyshan, i think it would be playing games & betting on games especially. One can learn of another race or people by the games they play and Vyshan has learned a few games in his time among the stars.

Hehe, never seen that before. But then I don't watch the original Trek, cause I can't stand William Shatner.

I can separate the actor from the character - Sean Connery from what i heard was a complete jerk but i did like the characters he played like Ramius the captain of the Red October or Alan Quartermain in leauge of extraordinary gentlemen.

Harlan Ellison once wrote a script for TOS and Shatner asked him to bring the script over for him to look at prior to shooting. Harlan saw him reading it and marking it and found out Shatner was Line Counting - seeing how many lines he had in relation to Leonard Nimoy.

The next day, Harlan had to do rewrites to give Kirk more lines (and more screen time) than Spock to make Bill happy.

So yeah, i can understand the hate...

I have seen a few episodes of the original series, like the Trouble with Tribbles episode. And the episode of DS9 where they go back in time to that episode and interact with the original crew. That was a pretty good episode of DS9.

Funnily enough, the original star trek movies are watchable for me, so I can't really explain why I don't like the original series.

While we wait for Player Five to sort out their character and ship, I want the rest of us to be able to get started. I've posted a first thread. Take a look, and jump in! Player Five can start posting as soon as they're finished.
