Dice Roller Question

One of my DW players has a move that lets him roll a d8 and a d6 and if the d6 is higher, something fun (for me) happens. Are the dice always displayed in the order you put them into the roller (e.g. 1d8+1d6 can never return "with rolls of 3,7." or the like, because the d8 was mentioned first)?

Dice Roller Question

In reply to steelsmiter (msg # 1):

It would be fun to find that out.  Pardon me while I nip out to my sandbox for a bit...

From a series of 20 rolls of [dice=d6,d8 record=yes], it certainly does appear that the dice are rolled and recorded in the order stated in the roll's dice= parameter (which is shown in the "Manual" field of the dice roller for something involving multiple dice rolls in a series).

My "experimental" results:

19:11, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 6,7 using d6,d8 with rolls of 6,7.
19:11, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 5,5 using d6,d8 with rolls of 5,5.
19:11, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 4,7 using d6,d8 with rolls of 4,7.
19:11, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 3,8 using d6,d8 with rolls of 3,8.
19:11, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 6,7 using d6,d8 with rolls of 6,7.
19:11, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 5,8 using d6,d8 with rolls of 5,8.
19:11, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 6,4 using d6,d8 with rolls of 6,4.
19:11, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 4,2 using d6,d8 with rolls of 4,2.
19:11, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 4,3 using d6,d8 with rolls of 4,3.
19:11, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 6,3 using d6,d8 with rolls of 6,3.
19:11, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 1,1 using d6,d8 with rolls of 1,1.
19:11, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 3,3 using d6,d8 with rolls of 3,3.
19:11, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 5,2 using d6,d8 with rolls of 5,2.
19:11, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 5,4 using d6,d8 with rolls of 5,4.
19:11, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 4,5 using d6,d8 with rolls of 4,5.
19:11, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 5,7 using d6,d8 with rolls of 5,7.
19:10, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 4,3 using d6,d8 with rolls of 4,3.
19:10, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 3,1 using d6,d8 with rolls of 3,1.
19:10, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 1,4 using d6,d8 with rolls of 1,4.
19:10, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 4,3 using d6,d8 with rolls of 4,3.

If you need the sum of d6 and d8, but need to know if record= records them in the order listed, that might be a different question:

[dice=d6+d8 record=yes]

Let's see what that does:

19:22, Today: Chief Tinker rolled  7 using d6+d8 with rolls of 5,2.
19:22, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 12 using d6+d8 with rolls of 4,8.
19:22, Today: Chief Tinker rolled  7 using d6+d8 with rolls of 1,6.
19:22, Today: Chief Tinker rolled  5 using d6+d8 with rolls of 2,3.
19:22, Today: Chief Tinker rolled  6 using d6+d8 with rolls of 5,1.
19:22, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 12 using d6+d8 with rolls of 5,7.
19:22, Today: Chief Tinker rolled  4 using d6+d8 with rolls of 3,1.
19:22, Today: Chief Tinker rolled  5 using d6+d8 with rolls of 3,2.
19:22, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 12 using d6+d8 with rolls of 5,7.
19:22, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 10 using d6+d8 with rolls of 5,5.
19:22, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 12 using d6+d8 with rolls of 4,8.
19:22, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 11 using d6+d8 with rolls of 4,7.
19:22, Today: Chief Tinker rolled  4 using d6+d8 with rolls of 2,2.
19:22, Today: Chief Tinker rolled  6 using d6+d8 with rolls of 5,1.
19:22, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 10 using d6+d8 with rolls of 4,6.
19:22, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 11 using d6+d8 with rolls of 4,7.
19:22, Today: Chief Tinker rolled  7 using d6+d8 with rolls of 3,4.
19:22, Today: Chief Tinker rolled  8 using d6+d8 with rolls of 2,6.
19:22, Today: Chief Tinker rolled 11 using d6+d8 with rolls of 5,6.
19:22, Today: Chief Tinker rolled  8 using d6+d8 with rolls of 3,5.

(totals right-justified for readability...)

It still holds true, apparently.  I hope that helps.
