Notification glitch

I am posting in a game in which I'm the player and I keep getting the "new posts" Icon where I just made the post. Is there a way to stop having it show up as a new post if I'm the one that made it (other than Mark as Read)?

The new message indicator is tracked by a cookie on your computer (unless that's gotten changed since I last heard about it) so it sounds like your computer/browser isn't correctly recording the date/time. Maybe try clearing cookies and relog into the site?

I've also seen it show as a new message if you post on one device and check it on another. (Computer vs phone or tablet)

Well the only other thing I can think of that might be causing an issue is using the Back button to move around the site. Most pages are pretty good about working around it but it could be an issue too.

Other then that you'll have to wait until a mod or someone who knows more about the site happens by.

Given that I find the back button to be absolutely pointless, I find this suspect.

Yep, I probably should have just bumped them directly actually.

Re: Notification glitch

So after already having clicked every check box on the clear history section, and also every checkbox on CCleaner, and just now a hard reset, we'll see how that worked.

Re: Notification glitch

Still "new posts" after two browser cleanings, a CCleaner cleaning, and a hard reset. https://cdn.discordapp.com/att...68400652/unknown.png

Re: Notification glitch

I'm getting the same behavior.  Just started in the last couple of days...I forget when I first noticed it.  I've just ignored it.

Re: Notification glitch

I started noticing it on a game I joined today, it wasn't doing it yesterday, now it's doing it for everything I post.

Re: Notification glitch

I know it sounds stupid, but have you tried a different internet browser? Or closing your current one and reopening it with new tabs? Logging out and logging back in? Or even attempting to do it on your mobile device to isolate if it’s the computer or account related?

Sometimes resorting to simple troubleshooting steps helps lead the way to where it’s coming from. I’m just curious as I’ve had this same issue before in the past but it was easily fixed with a wipe of my history and cache.
